Baptism

First Holy Communion

Confirmation

Baptism is the first sacrament of initiation into the Catholic Church. It is a symbol of purification, cleansing of original sin, and a commitment to a life in Christ. Baptism welcomes individuals, typically infants, into the Christian community. It is a foundation for receiving the other sacraments. If you’re a business, talk about how you started and share your professional journey. Explain your core values, your commitment to customers, and how you stand out from the crowd. Add a photo, gallery, or video for even more engagement. Need to know: Age: 0-7 years for children, 8 and up for RCIA candidates. Fee: $100 ($250 for private baptisms) Frequency: Baptisms are held on the 4th Sunday of every month. Special requests require approval from Father Yves. Eligibility: Godparents must be Catholic, and parents must be registered or members of the church for at least 3 months. Required Documents: Proof of baptism, communion, and confirmation for parents. Dress Code: Parents and godparents are expected to dress formally. The child should wear all white. Class: 3rd Saturday of each month for parents and godparents. Marriage

Marriage is a sacrament that celebrates the union between a man and a woman, establishing a covenant that mirrors the relationship between Christ and His Church. It is a holy commitment to love, honor, and serve one another. Through the sacrament of Matrimony, couples receive the grace to live a faithful and fruitful life together. Need to know: Registration: Must be registered at Notre Dame for at least 6 months before the wedding. Pre-wedding Classes: Couples must attend pre-wedding classes and complete interviews with Father Yves. Required Class: A 4-hour class at the Diocese is mandatory. Holy Communion, also known as the Eucharist, is the sacrament in which Catholics receive the Body and Blood of Christ. It is a vital act of worship and unity, symbolizing the spiritual nourishment we receive from Christ. Communion is typically received during Mass, and it strengthens the believer's relationship with God and the Church. Age: 7-12 years for children, 12 and up for RCIA candidates. • Fee: $150 Class: Classes are held during Sunday Mass. Dates: The sacrament is celebrated on Corpus Christi (June 22) and with Summer Camp children. Required Documents: Birth certificate. Exam: An exam is required one month prior to First Communion. Fill out the Communion registration form to begin with the process.

Anointing of the Sick

The Anointing of the Sick is a sacrament of healing. It is offered to those who are seriously ill or suffering from physical or mental health issues. Through the laying on of hands and anointing with oil, this sacrament provides comfort, peace, and strength, offering both physical healing and spiritual solace. Need to know: No Formal Registration Required: Available by appointment during office hours or after hours via Father Yves' emergency contact. Eligibility: For those who are ill, elderly, or in need of spiritual care. Reconciliation (Confession) Reconciliation, also known as Confession, is the sacrament where Catholics seek forgiveness for sins committed. Through confession to a priest, individuals receive absolution and are reconciled with God and the Church. This sacrament provides healing, spiritual renewal, and peace of mind by restoring one's relationship with God after sin. Need to know: No Formal Registration Required • Available by appointment during office hours or after hours via Father Yves' emergency contact. Eligibility: For those who are ill, elderly, or in need of spiritual care.

Confirmation is the sacrament that strengthens the grace received at Baptism and deepens the connection with the Holy Spirit. It is the rite of passage into adulthood in the Catholic faith, often celebrated in adolescence, where individuals affirm their commitment to their faith and are empowered to live out the teachings of Christ. Need to know: Age: 14 and up. Required Documents: Birth certificate and First Communion certificate. Class & Preparation: Two years post-First Communion before the Confirmation date. Required Sponsor: Must be Catholic and have received all sacraments. Celebration: Notre Dame Celebration Day (August 18). Special RCIA Confirmation is held on Holy Saturday.
